Guidelines

SLADE / KNOW is a site for the Slade community produced by the Slade community to document processes, techniques, experiments, machinery, failures, and more detail around studio practice.

Entries are to be written by current students or staff.

All posts and interactions should remain respectful, and must not include harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or hate speech.

WHAT TO SUBMIT?: Any process relevant to studio practice at the Slade. This includes but is not limited to: print, painting, sculpture, film, video, audio, coding, digital tools, material handling, and equipment use.

Entries do not need to be perfectly written. A methodology with notes about what didn't work is accepted.

Examples on how to structure an entry: What is the process? What do you need? (materials and software.) Steps in order. What went wrong, or what should people watch out for? Where did you learn this, or who taught you this? (Sources and credits)
